Prayer Ministry

MISSIONS STATEMENT:

The Gideon’s Prayer Team of Trinity Baptist Church seeks to earnestly and consistently pray for every individual request and need daily.  This prayer team has been organized to structure our efforts in a definitive way and to coordinate various persons who will blanket the prayer needs, as we have burdened individuals who are familiar with the ministry of prayer.  We have determined that “always before anything, and for whatever reason in everything, we shall pray,” so prayer is not a last resort but a first response!

Our prayer warriors maintain a Biblical approach to this commitment: to communicate daily with God on a moment by moment basis on behalf of others and all specific needs. We have a threefold premise:

1. 1. Spiritual being led by the Holy Spirit as our comfort, convicting presence and guide
   2. Biblical being directed by the Word of God as our authority and foundation
   3. Practical seeking to coordinate, publicize, and distribute emails, periodicals, prayer forums and educational materials that will prompt and inspire each participant to pray and be faithful to the task at hand.

This ministry, lead by our Pastor as our under-shepherd, gives us God’s direction from scripture.  Moreover, the preached word challenges and commands ours hearts to have that intimate and necessary closet time that will develop us into growing and mature believers.

Ephesians 6:18 – Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
