This past Sunday night we studied about the Blessings of Numbers. It was a play on words for Thanksgiving, and Count Your Blessings!
We considered how God used numbers in the Bible to prove that He is God, to prove that only God could write the Bible, and to prove that the Word of God is without fault or error.
We tied together the Psalms of Praise with the Blessing of Numbers. We reviewed in our Bible Study on Prophecy these base numbers:
#1—unity or purpose of God
#2—the number of witness or division
#3—the number of the Trinity or Resurrection
#4—Earth number—4 seasons, etc.
#5—the number of grace
#6—the number of man—created on the 6th day
#7—the number of perfection
#8—the number or new beginning
#9—the fruit of the spirit
#10—the number of the law of God
Psalm 98:4 states “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord…” The Word of God lists 8 instruments of praise to God:
- The Voice
- Voice with harp
- Trumpets
- Cornets
- Sea and its fullness
- Whole Creation
- The Floods
- The Hills
What a mighty God we serve!
You are loved,
