Decision Time
It is election time again. In our country, every four years, we vote for President. We also vote for state and county officials. These people will be placed into public office to vote for us. In our republic we all can’t fit into one room, so we elect people to vote for us.
As a Christian and a church member we not only vote, but we prayerfully vote. We pray that as best we can, we vote our faith and values. This is to fulfill Christ’s charge to the church.
Jesus is our head, we are His body. He is in heaven and we are on the earth. We are in this world, but we are not of this world.
Jesus taught us to represent Him in a sinful world by becoming SALT and LIGHT.
SALT represents our social and civic lives in this polluted society. We are to be an agent of purification. We are to help prevent and stop the corrosive power of sin. We ourselves are not perfect, but by living Christ-like lives we demonstrate the power of a life changed by Jesus. Old things are in the past, new things in our lives today.
LIGHT is the powerful fact that Jesus abides in us and we abide in Him. He is in Heaven; we are here in a sin darkened world. Jesus declared that He is the light of the world and we are to be like Him. We are to share Jesus as a light unto this world!
Your vote counts! You are the only one that can represent a pro-life vote. You must try to vote to protect the Supreme Court and you must vote to provide for the men and women in uniform that protect our country.
II Chronicles 7:14, Is our greatest strength! During this election we pray for God’s protection and His will. We pray together for revival for this generation!
You are loved,
Pastor and Muzette
