My name is Johnathan Gray Burke. I was born and raised on the outskirts of Asheville, in Leicester. I thank God for my mom and dad who consistently took me to church, pointed me to Jesus and continuously prayed for me. I attended Temple Baptist School, where I started in kindergarten and finished my senior year in 2006. The Lord led me to Trinity Baptist Church in 2005. Under Pastor Ralph, the Lord graciously showed me I was a sinner, lost and in need of Him, and on the night of February 23, 2012, Jesus saved my soul! I met my wife, Ashley, at Trinity. We fell in love, and we were married on March 28, 2009. Together we served in the nursery ministry for over 10 years and as well as serving in the Awana ministry. The Lord has blessed us with 4 of the most amazing children: Emma Grace, Grayson Michael, Ellie Grae and Greydon Mark. In December of 2016, the Lord opened a door to allow me to become a full-time staff member of Trinity as the Maintenance and Operations Manager on the property. The Lord has taught me many principles in this roll, and He surrounded me with men and women who love the Lord and love people. In April of 2021, I surrendered to my call to preach, a call that I knew had been on my life for a very long time. After that surrender, in May of 2021, Pastor Winston allowed me and Ashley to step into the leadership of the children’s ministry, where the Lord has given us a burden and directed us both to serve. God has been so faithful every step of the way, He has provided every need and He has surrounded us with the most amazing team of leaders with whom we have the joy of serving every single week! I thank God everyday for His salvation, His mercy and grace, His provision, His call and His timing.
