Just shortly after the great victory and triumph of the transfiguration of the Lord Jesus Christ, we find our Lord arriving at a scene of great consequence, a head-on collision between the spiritual ability of His disciples and the physical manifestations of spiritual warfare.

God’s Power Manifested in Our Lives

2. Spiritual Discernment
3. Spiritual Value

God’s great power that raised Jesus from the dead and lifted Him by Ascension back to glory to take His seat at God’s right hand, is given to every believer at the time of salvation and is always available.

The Consequence of Powerlessness:

1. The Father – So desperate yet the disciples who could do nothing
2. The Son – Lost in darkness and drowning in despair
3. The Crowd – Looking for those who know Jesus for a miracle
4. The Scribes – Just a group of powerlessness religious nuts that have no real standing with God!

The frustration and the irritation were all about His children not living up to their potential. Like a parent who sees all that their child could be, if they would just pay the price and do what’s required to not only have the gift but have the POWER!!!

Just like the disciples we are living in an age of great gifts, great exposure, and lots of people in the crowd watching but we have no power!
