Palm Sunday is a grand day of celebration, a coronation day for the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of Kings. There is no other King like Him, no other individual or ruler can compare, and even Jesus had a coronation ceremony. 450-500 years before Jesus was even born, the prophet Zechariah preached and prophesied that the Messiah would have a coronation and that it would be in Jerusalem. Zechariah 9:9

Palm Sunday was the “beginning of the end” of Jesus’ work on earth. Jesus and His disciples were traveling over the Mount of Olives when he sent two disciples to the village of Bethphage to find an animal to ride. They found the unbroken colt of a donkey, just as Jesus had said they would and what Zechariah prophesied. Luke 19:29-35 & Zechariah 9:9

Behold Thy King Cometh unto thee not in your way, not as a great military man like Alexander the Great, but this gentle, kind, humble Savior!
