Merry Christmas!…again
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind in our nation and state. North Carolina has not determined who will be our governor next year and the national election is still being debated.
We need the peace of the Lord in our hearts and homes. We thank the Lord for the sure foundation of the Word of God!
Last year in December you worked very hard to be the New Testament, “Salt and Light”. You explained to family and friends that “Jesus is the Reason for the Season”.
Our Lord challenged us to be “Salt and Light”. The “Salt” aspect of our walk with the Lord is explained by salt being used in preservation. Salt is used to cure meats and fish to prevent spoilage. Bible believing Christians are used by the Lord to be “Salt” to a perishing generation.
The “Light” part has to do with our spiritual walk in pointing men to Jesus for Salvation. “Let your Light shine before men!” Jesus is the way to God!
For the next few weeks, let’s be “extra Salty” by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! Jesus is the reason for the season and we testify to our “Salt and Light” when we say “Merry Christmas!” Thank you for being faithful!
You are loved,
Pastor and Muzette
