The Light of Revival
The first thing we do when we get home at night is to turn on the light. We cannot find our way without light. Dark is dangerous!
When the fire of revival is burning it does the same thing spiritually. The light of salvation, in the light of the gospel, lights our way.
The powerful moving of the Holy Spirit of God works to shine the light of conviction into our lives. The searchlight of revival starts the soul searching questions about eternity.
Am I a follower of Christ? Does my life exhibit evidence that I have been redeemed by Jesus? Have the old things of the dark way of seeing things past away? Does my life show the light of the indwelling Christ?
Matthew 5:16 tells us, “…let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works…“
On Wednesday evening God turned on the light of self-examination in our service. That is powerful exclamation from the grace of God!
When God turns the light on in our lives we begin to see the past the darkness of our self-denial. God‘s love for us lights up the parts of our lives that need to change.
When they can see the change in us, it points our family and friends to the power of Jesus. The scripture states that we are the light of the world. Our lives in Christ can light the way for others In this dark world of sin and confusion.
John 8:12 declares the words of Jesus, “I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
As Pastor, my prayer is for you to have the light of revival for that is the light of life!
You are loved,
Pastor Ralph
We should shine as light
We should embrace light
We should let light be evidence in our life
